Gay Days Wedding Bells Ring

How it All Began...

Our names are Jason Puett and Michael Booth. We met in May of 1999 at Mannequin's inside Pleasure Island. It was a week or so before Gay Days. Michael had never been to Gay Days before, but I had. I knew he would have a great time. Michael didn't see the point in buying tickets to Disney functions, since he worked there and could usually get in for a discounted rate. Well, I bought him a ticket to Beachball and that was our first official date. After that weekend, he was hooked! We have made the whole weekend of events our vacation for the year ever since. It's the time of year we look forward to most.

For our vacation, we always stay in the Gay Days Host Hotel. That may seem strange, being that we live right here in Orlando. For us, the hotel completes our entire experience of the whole weekend getaway. We are also both huge Disney fans, having worked for Disney for over 7 years, and still have a huge Disney memorabilia collection. You could just say we are both big kids who love the entertainment and toys that Disney (and Gay Days!) provide.

As you can see, Gay Days and Disney are very important to us for many reasons on many levels. It is for this reason that we can see no other occasion or location to be more perfect for our commitment ceremony. We live in a state that doesn't recognize the union of a same-sex couple, but it is till incredibly important for us as a couple to have the opportunity to share our commitment to each other with family and friends to witness. This occasion is more than either of us could have ever wished for. We are honored and proud to have this opportunity to make our lives complete in the place that started it all for us.
